Meet Andrea

Andrea entered our hub space at the refugee camp as a young 20 year old mother of a 5 year old and a 1 year old. She had fled her home due to a violent relationship. Within our program she began to discover her talents, build her confidence, and through our guidance was able to get an apartment in Tijuana and is still thriving there today. She is one of our main artisans who comes to our studio weekly and is now helping to teach and guide other women along the way. Many of our tapestries and vinyl pressed items are made by Andrea. She has become an integral part of our artisan team and to see her thriving, learning, and mothering her children in safety is such a gift to all of us.
